Scotch Malt W.

It is made exclusively from barley malt and in the case of single malt w. comes from a single distillery. It is produced only by pot stills – batch distillation on copper pot stills. Malt is a mixture of several grains, but mainly wheat. It is produced economically by continuous – continnuoius distillation on columns – Coffey or Patent still. Blended whisky is blended from several single malts w. and also with grain w. This variant is often smoother and more affordable, making it an ideal choice for beginners.

2. Irish Whisky

Irish whiskey is generally smoother and sweeter than Scotch. It is often produced using a triple distillation method, which gives the drink a silky character. Irish whiskey must be matured for at least three years and is known for its fruity and floral notes. Popular brands include Jameson, Bushmills and Redbreast.

3. American Whisky

The United States offers a wide variety of whiskeys, with bourbon and Tennessee whiskey being the most famous. Bourbon

4. Japanese Whisky

Japan has become a major player in the whisky field over the past decades. Inspired by the Scottish tradition, Japanese producers have added their own emphasis on precision and elegance. Japanese whiskies such as Hibiki and Yamazaki are often light, sophisticated and suitable for lovers of subtler flavours.

5. Canadian Whisky

Canadian whisky is known for its smoothness and approachability. It is often made from a combination of several grains, giving it a smooth and slightly sweet profile. Canadian whiskies, such as Crown Royal or Canadian Club, are ideal for mixed drinks.
